October 20, 2008: Today I drove a good piece north of Jackson to take in Yellowstone National Park. The park takes up a good chunk of NW Wyoming, so I packed as much as possible into one day and due to proximity, decided to tour the entire southern loop. First stop = Canyon Village for a 3+ mile hike. I climbed straight down the side on the south cliff wall via 300+ stairs to view the falls straight on; rainbow no extra charge. I then continued on to Artist’s Point for the quintessential falls + canyon + river shot taken by some jovial out-of-towners. Second stop(s) was alongside Geyser Basin, ending at Old Faithful.
